Looking back

Monday, August 04, 2014

I did measurements the other day and was curious to see how they compared when I was a similar weight in July of 2011. It was really interesting. I currently weigh between 86-87kg and in 2011 I weighed 84.3kg but my measurements now are the same or less, my arms are the same and my thighs and hips are smaller. The only measurement that is now higher is my waist. I guess that's pretty good proof that I've changed my body composition.

I also had a look at what I was eating and how I was exercising and it wasn't massively different. I do think I am eating just a touch more which is probably slowing my progress. I am happy to see I wasn't actually eating 1300 calories many days because I am struggling to eat around 15-1600.

I am also wondering how much stress impacts things because I really do dislike how much stress my job brings at times! I had a 415am wake up for a dog with a swollen face. I probably should have went back to sleep, instead I had a shower and saw the dog and went to ride my horse instead. This meant I was way too tired to run this afternoon. Hopefully I can get some miles in tomorrow.

I'd say stress affects fat more than we realize. Not like stress eating, but how our bodies chemically react to stress. Especially as women. So definitely listen to your body and take care of yourself. Glad you've seen some changes, those are always nice. Keep making strides!
