Well, the post-op instructions said not to drive or make any important decisions because there was still anaesthesia in my system. It should have said go home, find a corner and sit quietly.
After my nap and some dinner I went into the workroom to finish getting things ready for Saturday's Farmer's Market. I picked up the bottle that was on the workbench and gave the microgreens that I was going to sell a final spritz. Then I looked down and discovered that I was spraying general purpose cleaner, not water! Poor things. Within an hour they were laying down, dead! I didn't take the hint.
I started cleaning the workbench and when I moved the paper cutter I found a piece of cardboard that I hadn't finished chopping up. It was a small strip, just one, two, three cuts ... and there went the tip of my thumb!
It took me the better part of an hour to get the bleeding under control. I finally put super glue on it. It stopped the bleeding but I got the glue all over my finger. When I put the gauze on it stuck good. I went to change the bandage this morning and could only get the top layer off. Probably just as well. I don't want it to start bleeding again.
I finally made the right decision and went to bed.
