Once again I have worked hard to create better habits in my eating and overall wellness...here is what I have done since the end of May:
My weight crept up to 170...I vowed to lose 20 before I head back to work in August...I am down almost 14 pounds.
I have tracked religiously...with the exception of a two day board retreat, an overnight trip with hubby, and the 4th of July. I have declined desserts, ice cream, and other snacks. I even made cookies without eating the dough or the cookies...and that is a major milestone. I have made overall better meal choices. I try not to beat myself up when I've had these non-tracking days and what is funny most of the time the a scale has been forgiving after those times.
I started walking toward the middle/end of May and discovered the GPS tracker on my Sparkpeople app...love it...I have walked over 100 miles since I started this summer. I have been walking every morning...or almost every...I get anxious if I can't get my morning walk in...I will have to switch my routine to afternoons or evenings when school starts. I downloaded a yoga app and I have doing about 20 minutes several days a week. I need to add some strength training to my routine but that can come in time. I feel like I have created a HABIT!
I am doing this all in part because of the mirror and in part to hopefully make things easier for my body as the time is marching on...watching family health issues has been a motivation for sure.
