still painting the house!

Saturday, August 02, 2014

the trim on our house is taking forever to paint and it is using a whole lot more paint than I expected!! Good thing it lasts for about 25 years!! emoticon My husband is getting the high work and the eaves with a paint sprayer. We have to mask off all around the stucco so the paint doesn't get on there. That takes a long time, but once that is done the spraying goes much faster. emoticon

With my bum knees I am not all that much help, but I am doing what I can. I tend to be the go to person. I think I am getting a lot of exercise just running back and forth!

So far I have painted all the low work. The side eaves are all done (underneath and on the fascia board. That is where the high work is. The front under eave area is done but the front of the fascia boards needs finishing. Our back patio will not need to be painted under the roof, but the fascia boards will need it. We have to get up early and get it done before the winds pick up (around 9-10am daily).

We ran out of paint again, so it will be another 5 gal. to hopefully call it all done!
