Honesty Time - gained and discouraged

I couldn't believe the scale today... emoticon

About 4 weeks ago, my health provider told me that I was doing so well with controlling my diabetes and blood pressure that she needed to LOWER my dosages on 2 of my medications.
I was excited, knowing that this was another step in getting off medications, which is one of my goals!
Unfortunately, I've had 8 pounds creep back on me since then. I've tried to be extremely careful with my food intake, and I even got extra exercise while on my 2 week vacation to my hometown.

I know that the med changes are probably the main culprit for the weight gain, however, it doesn't make it any easier to get those pounds back off!

I promised myself that I would be totally honest when I re-joined SP, and today I have to change my weight loss ticker. That's tough. I was kinda proud of what I have accomplished.

Plus side:
I started this current journey, in Sept. '13, at 225 and today I am 198. Down 27 pounds.
I had an A1C level of 13 and it's now (amazingly!!) 5.6! "normal"
I'm more aware of my body, my portions, what I eat, when I eat, and how I eat.

I don't want to stop and give up! I'm in this for the long run, and I still have the same health and lifestyle goals. I'm not giving up....

    You CAN do this!!

I can do this!!

Don't get discouraged... I've lost the same pounds over and over in a 3 steps forward two steps back way... but progress is progress, never forget that, always look at the big picture.

HUGS!

    Yes emoticon
When we make changes our body takes awhile to adjust. You lost before you can lose again. Something great you accomplished is even the doctor says you are better! So getting healthier is achieving a great goal!
Keep up the good work and things will change. Its giving up that causes us to be defeated. We will not be defeated!

God is our help, with Him we can do anything!
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
