Feels like time is standing still

Thursday, July 31, 2014

Today has been a very slow day. It felt like time was standing still. I don't know why though. I know that it isn't because of my uncle's passing though. Its never felt like this after a member of the family has passed away.

Both of my brothers and their wives are coming down for the graveside service for our uncle. They're going to be here sometime Sunday and they're going to stay at a hotel. The same kind as we stayed at when we were in Minnesota the two times we were up there. Its a good thing that both will be here for dad.

I learned one thing. Never get cheap nail polish. It's hard to get off even with remover. I am going to see if I can get something stronger than what I got to get it off tomorrow when we go get a few things at Target. I need something to get this hot pink nail polish off. Next time I'm putting clear nail polish on first before I put the hot pink nail polish off. With the remover I got it too me FOREVER to get at least the polish off the thumb on the left hand. My right wrist was killing me after I got that one nail done. I hope that I can find something stronger to get it off.

I'm so sorry for your loss. *hugs* I, too, had to learn the hard way about nail polish. Maybe you could get a dark grey or navy for the service to cover up the pink staining? I'm just now getting back into nail polish (hadn't worn it on my hands since my teens!) so I have little to offer in the way of tips, just putting a different shade on to cover up, that's what I do... and then it's a never ending cycle! haha! Know that I'm sending positive thoughts and prayers your way during this difficult time for you and your family.

Gosh I haven't worn nail polish in literally decades. Can't help you out on that one.

Hope all is well. For polish you should always use a base coat. It prevents the polish from staining your nails. Sometimes when removing the polish it will stain your fingers (like the actual skin), I've found rubbing whitening toothpaste on my wet hands helps remove the polish stains from your skin. :) I'm a nail polish junkie!
