I have so many things to be thankful for today, but there is one major blessings that I am rejoicing about today . . . and that is because I found a tooth on the living room rug this morning.

What's so special about finding a tooth? especially on the rug???

Well, my little Yorkie, Bad Leroy Brown is almost 9 years old and has been having some dental issues. This past year he has had to have a number of teeth pulled.

The last time I took him into the vet, he crashed when the administered the anesthesia. It was a close call. Too close! It scared me bad. And I've nearly lost him a couple of times I've been hoping to avoid having to take him back to the vet for more dental work.

When he was 6 months old, I rescued him from a puppy mill that had 1800 dogs in their breeding stock. It was unbelievable.

A couple months after I got him home, something painful happened to him (bee sting? we don't really know) he let out a loud yelp. I picked him up and checked him over. He stopped breathing while I held him in my arms. I did CPR until we could get him into the vet clinic.

A few months ago I noticed another loose tooth, and I've been keeping an eye on it, keeping it clean, etc. I did NOT want to take him back to the vet for fear of losing him if they put him under again.

So, I am absolutely rejoicing today that the tooth came out on its own. And that he didn't swallow it.

Leroy has been with me through thick and thin . . . and more than once, his unconditional love kept me going. He's such a part of our family.

He's such a cutie! I'm glad the tooth did what you wanted it to. I always like finding the baby teeth, but I never thought about when they get older. I hope he continues to do well.

Glad that it worked out for Leroy!!!! It's hard with our fur babies. I know mine is extremely vulnerable to the effects of anesthesia as well.

Hope that he stays as cute as he is!

So Cute! We get so attached to our pets--they're more like family.
I have a fourteen year old Basset Hound named Dixie. She's blind, somewhat arthritic, and has slowed down considerably, but she doesn't stop. We love her to pieces. I can really relate to how you feel about Bad Leroy Brown. I hope you don't have to take him back to the vet too.
I have a theory that God put dogs on earth to teach us what unconditional love is like.
