Who says you can only make resolutions at New Year's. It is a new month so I am making August Resolutions.
There are two areas in my life that I need to make major changes in; the first is sleep and the second is movement.
I have been trying to win the sleep battle for at least six months, every time I go to sleep on time I feel better, I lose weight, and have more energy. Why is this such a hard thing to do? The rewards are immediate and the benefits are wonderful. Resolution - In bed by 10 every night.
The second is my sedentary life. I exercise. I schedule exercise. Exercise is not the problem. the problem is that the rest of the time I am sitting. Time to change that. It must be deliberate, it must be scheduled and it must be consistent. So up every hour may be even every half hour to walk and do one thing anything - put something away, pet the dog, something! Time to change my life. Resolution - up on my feet every hour all day long - even in the evening.
