Back Again

Trying to get my motivation and focus back again. I've been trying a bunch of different things to deal with some back and joint issues. More cardio, less weights. A week of no exercise which made everything worse : ) Scaling back on both cardio and weights. Nothing seems to be working, and all I've done because I've been trying different programs is stall out at less than half the cardio I used to do. So I'm just going to try again, but this time, try what worked the last time - yeah I know : ) As with most things in life with me - a wealth of information on the internet just really causes me to lose focus all together.

    walking and swimming are the best things for the joints.

    I'm no fitness professional but I'm told the best thing for your body and your mind is a good walk. It's easy, you'll feel better having done it as opposed to staying sedentary. Hopefully your joints are good with this uber-low impact approach. Otherwise, maybe swimming is the answer.

I know what it is like to lose the level of fitness I had to pain or injury. One time I got discouraged, quit, lost all conditioning and didn't like the way I looked six months later. The other time I already had a trainer, she gave me all sorts of alternatives that strengthened me and may have even sped up my recovery. Easily the best part of having a trainer for me was when I needed a smart and safe alternative to my routine.

    There is way too much information, it's hard to decide what to do. Staring slow is always the best option. If something is too easy, then ok - do something harder.
