Another unusual storm - for us here in the UK

Monday, July 28, 2014

The photo below, sent to me by a friend just now, is of one of our local train stations after a very fierce early morning storm - two hours of massive thunder and lightening with torrential rain and huge hail stones that settled like snow. The street cleaners were out early clearing all sorts of debris from the roads. The firemen, too, were pumping out sewers and basements.
So this morning there are few buses and NO trains at all due to flooding. Loads of fun. I assume that in other countries, where this sort of thing is common, there are measures already in place. Here in the UK we're going to have to start taking precautions too.

Yikes! That was some storm! Hope the waters recede quickly! We seem to be getting more severe ones here too! Take care! Hugs

Wow, what a mess. Our weather here in central USA seems to get stranger and stranger too. Results of global warming?

A lot of flooding from yesterday due to the flash floods here in Ohio. It also stormed most of the night. Will be turning on the news shortly. Stay safe. This weather seems to be getting crazier and crazier.
