I have really amped up my exercise and steps this past week. I usually exercise about an hour a day and then am fairly sedentary the rest of the day. I have really tried to work on this this last week. I have the spark tracker and monitor my steps everyday faithfully. I usually get a silver medal award for the week. This week I was 600 steps away from a gold medal award! UGH! I am not beating myself up tho as the first few days of the week I didnt even reach 8000 steps each day! I cant remember now why but I really amped up my steps the rest of the days. I did, however, beat my record from the week before so Im pretty happy with that! Yesterday I even logged 15,000 steps!
I went for a 3.5 mile walk yesterday afternoon and then, because I promised my boxer Jakey, I took him for a shorter walk last night plus did 20 minutes on my bike! YEEEEHAAAA!! My aim this week is to keep up this pace. I have also started only weighing myself once a week. I was a daily weigh-er. I am hoping I see bigger numbers on the scale with just once a week weigh-ins. At any rate, I FEEL better which is important too. I feel better about myself knowing that Im not just sitting around all day long. (working on my tv addiction). I am hoping to start the core nursing classes in January and really would like to lose a significant amount of weight by then to help boost my confidence and self esteem. I am preparing myself mentally for when I am in school full time, that I also need to make time for exercise. Losing weight and getting my nursing degree are both very high priorities for me at this point in my life so I want to do everything I can to reach both of those goals. It helps tremendously that I dont have to work outside the home. I am truly blessed in that aspect.
It is a GORGEOUS day here today so I think I will head outside for a nice long walk! Have a great Sunday everyone!!
