I love getting up early on the weekend and getting a lot of things accomplished before the throngs of people get moving around.
Today was very good. I was up and off to Discount Tire (7:45am) to get my tires all rotated, spin-balanced and re mounted(free of charge). Stopped back home to see if DD was awake yet to do the tour with me up and down the strip.
I picked her up, off we went to Walgreen for vacation supplies on sale(paper plates, towels).
Next stop, credit union for $$...
then to get some breakfast, across the street, Kroger for few staples for the week.
Back home, unpack trunk and back seat, relax.. Call my older sister to tell her about mom's hospice need and situation.
One hour later, I am getting a list together page by page for vacation prep.. Week list, then day-to-day list. turning off power and water in Dad's house before we leave, etc.
We got in the store just as a thunderstorm began, so it is too humid to steam clean carpets..
Now is time to research hospice companies and staff for mom. then call mom's to tell Crystal to get doc order for it, then hire nurses...
Am hoping health insurance paperwork arrives early enough for me to research that and make an informed choice before I leave for vacation.
I also need to call Mike the mechanic for Vito's checkup and then make haircut appointment for next weekend.
Tomorrow we start packing non-perishables in the plastic tub, replenish our travel toiletries, make list of perishables for cooler.
Put a roast in the crock pot for dinner, leftovers will be made into gluck tomorrow.
cleaning wood floors later too...
I love my days off!
