I had a smattering of allergy (skin) testing done on Tuesday afternoon and boy did it wipe me out and make me feel bad/worse for two days. Found out I am very allergic to oak and feathers and moderately allergic to dust and all sorts of weeds, trees and grasses. At first I didn't think we had many oak trees around here, but I was mistaken. I bought a new pillow since I couldn't be certain if mine had any feathers in it. I looked at mattress covers and didn't want to pay $100 hoping I can find an online deal. I think all the packing, repacking of my Mom's things that had been sitting around for years really stirred up the dust and into my head. Luckily I have some wonderful essential oils- Lemon, Lavender and Peppermint that I can swipe across my nose and forehead and even make into a capsule and take several times a day to help with allergies. I really don't want allergy shots and may elect to use the new allergy drops they are offering.

I have used homeopathy drops for years for allergies. As well as peppermint oil and a product called ALJ to quickly clear the sinuses and lungs to breathe. ALJ brought my SIL out of an asthmatic attack in minutes (the attack was brought on from dust). Hope you find the right path for you.

Blessings! Miss your postings on Fit Friends.

The allergy drops that the doctor's office told me about is something new that the FDA has recently approved but has been used in many other countries like the UK.

Thanks for the support ladies. I appreciate it emoticon

My whole family had allergy testing done years ago. My son is allergic to so many things, including cats! Fortunately he has one now that he does well with. I have 4 including his former cat that he was so very allergic to. I am allergic to dust mites, mold, timothy and many other grasses, dogs, etc. I did the allergy injections for years, but no longer need them. I just have to be careful especially in the spring with new grasses.

Hope everything works out for you! Keep me posted!

Now that you know you can be prepared. Didn't realize that some essential oils would help with allergies. Will have to check that out.
Take care.

Never heard of the allergy drops, that sound interesting-I am allergic to cats(have one), dogs(have one),horses, feathers(have a bird) and dust(have alot of that). I too don't want to get the shots-but it would be nice to breathe.
