She'll eat your heart out like Jeffrey Dahmer...

The title is only slightly related to this post...

Today was my first official day at the gym. I'm not sure if all gyms offer this amenity or not, but I was given one free personal training session. And naturally, I was beyond nervous. I was kind of dreading it all day. First, I was sure the entire gym would be watching me. Yes, I really am that self-absorbed. And second, I was sure the trainer would ask me to do things beyond my capabilities. Y'all, I was so wrong.

I'm a beast. I'm stronger than I ever expected. I push myself when it gets tough instead of giving up. I requested to try more things when our workout was complete, but I still had a few minutes. I was dripping sweat and loving every.single.minute of it. And not once did I look around to see who was staring. I was too focused on myself and my journey to care.

It's just begun, y'all. Watch out "Onederland", I'm coming for ya!

That is SOOO emoticon My gym offered the free personal trainer session when I joined in April at Anytime Fitness. I was SUPER NERVOUS about going in to have my session because like you mentioned I was pretty self conscious and embarrassed to have to work out in front of someone that had expectations that I felt I couldn't meet.

However my story doesn't end in a triumph like yours or really begin at all. I avoided their calls and emails to set up a time for my session and went to the gym only when office hours were over. It was partly due to my chaotic schedule but at the same time I KNOW I could have made time to do it. Until this day I still haven't taken advantage of it.

I admire you for going in and getting it done and finding out what you're capable of. That seriously ROCKS so MUCH. You are indeed a ROCK STAR ^-^
