Down a size and didn't even know it?!?

Wednesday, July 23, 2014

Well not really, BUT I just realized what pants I am wearing today.

When I started this journey, I was slapped in the face by some dress measurements that resulted in ordering a size 26 bridesmaids dress (btw, got it back from the tailor yesterday and it's still a bit too big, ha! Oh well, it looks decent). In pants I was wearing a size 22 comfortably.

I have 2 pairs of the exact same jeans in 2 different sizes: 18 & 16. I was running late this morning and I grabbed what I thought were the 18s and slipped them on. The waist was a bit tight but I chalked that up to weekend bloat and headed out the door. Just a few minutes ago, I went to the bathroom and glanced at the tag, I'm wearing the 16s!!!!!!!!! No wonder they were a little tight, but I remember the last time I tried them on, they were tight everywhere and I could barely button them. In no way would I have worn them in public. Now I'm wearing them at work and I didn't even know it. Hahaha!

Now they are still a little tight so I'm not a true 16 and on Monday I went shopping for a new outfit for my interview and ended up with mostly size 18 items. That said, I'm obviously slipping below the 18s and I'm happy for that!

Take that Hump Day!
