Beyond Frustrated

So I recently got back from Germany with my boyfriend and oh man, the change has been rough. I haven't been able to curve any of my cravings and have absolutely ZERO motivation to work out. I think I've been to the gym 2-3 times since I've been back. Which is not good. I ballooned back up to 189 too :( so that's really discouraging.

That being said, I had my wake up call yesterday morning when after a day of binging (I ate cake and a really unhealthy lunch) and I weighed myself. I remembered looking at the scale a few weeks ago and it saying 182 and I just got really discouraged.

So after a long venting session and some discussion, my boyfriend and I decided to make a wager. If I can hit my goal weight of 160 and maintain that for at least a week, he promised he would quit dipping tobacco for good.

So I'm curious as to how it will turn out. In the meantime, I've started planning my meals a week in advance, only buying what is needed for those meals when I go grocery shopping and cutting all sweets and confections out completely. My alcohol intake I am limiting to red wine (because alcohol is sugar).

So I'll weigh myself at week end and try and squeeze a few gym sessions in and see how things go.

I'm trying my best not to get discouraged. I think that when I view this as a diet I'm destined to fail. I need to start thinking about a lifestyle change.
