When your size 14s are getting tight, embrace kale

I'm still in post marathon bliss. And it's 9 months later. My body still wants to eat at the higher calorie range. That, paired with a big milestone birthday sound the corner...the big 4-0...well my body just wants to get fluffier.

I have gained a good 10 lbs, and I had wanted to reach goal weight by my birthday at the end of August....that's not going to happen...and that's ok. But I want to get my eating under control....and the first step is this: I will embrace kale, spinach, romaine and all things green. I will eat fresh vs. processed whenever possible...

And I will love myself...despite the fluff...

Now I'm leaving on a girls trip tomorrow....there will be vodka and other bad things...and my mantra will moderation....and I'm bringing my running shoes....:-)

    I am with you on getting fluffier...but we just need to get back to what works. Gaining is not a crisis, it is a call to action!

    Have fun on your trip! And you can embrace the fresh veggies! Some of them are good in smoothies. I make a smoothie with protein powder, frozen unsweetened fruit, and spinach and I can't even taste the spinach. I like to add ice too so it's really thick like a shake and also helps with the water.

    Omg. So ditto. I'm still in post marathon "bliss" if you want to call it that and I ran 2 years ago. I feel like I wrecked myself and I can't get anything back...except my size 16s. Those are definitely back.

And it's summer so all I want to do is eat and drink.
