a lot on my plate

Sunday, July 20, 2014

and I'm not talking food. ha! My husband has knee surgery this week. He'll be on crutches for 10-12 days and will have to be driven to PT. They said it would take him a month to be back to 100%. He starts back to work on Aug. 14. I have to be in Austin Aug. 10-14 for work. Ugh. On July 30th we have a fair hearing to appeal the denial we received for my daughter's Medicaid Waiver program. Without this program, she doesn't receive the needed therapies she's been going to since birth. She's been on the program since she was 18 mos. old. My insurance refuses to pay for any of her therapies (I've been fighting that for the last 6 months!). It's just ridiculous.

So, I'm a stress eater, but I'm really hoping to keep it to a minimum the next few weeks. I really need/want to increase my exercise, but it's so hard finding time to do it with everything going on. Fortunately we have our daughter's caregiver (in the home-also provided by the program she is on) to help out while my husband has surgery and is recuperating, because otherwise we don't really have any support/help!
