Can self sabotage be good?

First the bad:
I was doing really well until... We decided to go to City Market on Friday night. I knew I had a few calories left to use for the day and decided to have a razzberita, then another and as the story goes, next thing I knew we were at Carlyle's Brewing Company having a beer and appetizers. Then of course my little binge couldn't end there. I had pizza for dinner last night and... cookie pizza.
Then the good:
I knew I had not done well so I decided to go and walk last night. My husband joined me for a bit of it, then I was on my own. I usually don't make my fitness goals on the weekends but last night I made my fitbit step goal and stair climb goal while walking. (Who knew hills counted as stairs?) The timing of the evening walk was perfect. The sun was setting and I managed to get some good pictures with my phone. I really need to start bringing my camera with me for better quality but I am still happy with how they turned out.
What started out as a binge turned into a beautiful evening that helped to get me back on track!
