We are having some awesome weather here in Missouri. So, today I decided to take the family to Springfield to the Rutledge - Wilson Farm Park. I figured it would give them a chance to see some farm animals.
The park was pretty cool, and free to top it all. They had all the farm animals, plus a pretty cool playground the kids could play in, a lake for fishing and for feeding the ducks, and a really nice walking trail. The family was excited about the beginning items, but I was excited about the trail.
The trail couldn't have started better. We started off walking through a field of flowers. There were butterflies everywhere. The trail also went past a spring feed river, which was very beautiful too.
After our great time at the park, my kids were starving. We started discussing where we should stop and eat. We decided to simply drive and pick something randomly. This could have left me in a bad way, as I will only eat low fat and healthy meals.
We scored! We couldn't have stopped at a better place. We stopped at Chick-Fil-A. OMG, why don't we have one of these places near my home? Low fat, fresh, and delicious, is what they offer. I ordered soup and a salad, which was 330 calories, but after the salad, I was full.
This is the kind of "fast food" places that every place needs. Let's stick one of these right beside every McDonalds. Give everyone a "real" choice. Ok, ok ... I'm sure you can tell that I was very impressed with the restaurant chain.
So, to finish this... If you every are out and looking for a place to grab a quick bite, if you see a Chick-Fil-A, just do it! You won't be disappointed, plus you can remain eating healthy!
