Clearing out my dad's house, helping my brothers get it ready to be put on the market.

I'm counting packing and moving as my cardio this week. Well, that plus pruning back the vines outside, doing some yardwork.

I know how difficult this is. I've done it too.

    Belated welcome home.

Checking in from exile. All is quite nice near on Elba. I'm swimming laps in the Med, around this little island.

We're recycling as much as we can, but yeah, have a huge bag to shred.

I'm enjoying going through the old photos and sorting - my brother is going to scan all the ones I pull and put them on disks for the family (and jump drive for me).

It's so hard cleaning out a space after a parent passes. Thinking of you and your family. I think for us clearing out the mail was one of the most time consuming parts. So much stuff to sift through and destroy properly. We ended up burning a lot of it since there was just too much to shred, took a lot of stress off.

Not an easy job indeed going through memory lane while cleaning the house you grew up, your parents home. I know I've been there. Best wishes. My thoughts are with you! emoticon

Poignant, indeed -- did just that with my dear sister when our parents passed away in 1997. We both have bizarre and black senses of humour and we keep it as light as possible but there were some tough tough moments. Hang in there!
