I want to thank all of the people who are always here to help me, shore me up, when I have bad days. I read your comments today and they all helped me. YOu have no idea what a difference it makes when you know somebody cares and understands you. You have all made the difference between a night of crying and feeling bad, to having hope.

Today mom's assisted living called to say they are moving her into a private room for the weekend. She has been in the only semi-private room in the building since she arrived. The other woman in the room stays awake all night and sleeps all day, talks loudly continuously, she has severe dementia..

Apparently the staff has been monitoring it for some months and decided to do this. They are also trying to move other patients around, calling their families, etc. to make a change..I think they may be trying to put the other woman into a private because mom was there first. It is substantially more $$ for a private room, so mom does not have to pay for this.

It is always something happening with her.. not her fault this time of course, but I hope she never gets that disruptive. I am a person that has always tried to blend in with the wallpaper; it comes from trying to escape the abuse from mom and older sister beating on me..

I have already apologized to DD if I get wild and crazy(crazier!LOL!) when my dementia starts...

I'm so glad you're feeling a little more hopeful today. You've been on my mind a lot.

Hopefully your mom will enjoy a private room for the weekend.

And I hope you're able to find some enjoyment in your weekend as well. And some rest, I'm sure you need it!

First, don't claim that dementia! My mother and grandmother both had Alzheimer's....so I know exactly what you mean...but my mom's care was so much better than her mother's...they keep coming up with more and more meds that work better and better.

I feel so bad for your mother, you and I have MUCH in common...I am another wallflower and have been forever and my mother was the cause...not physical abuse but mental for sure. I totally understand you as I am sure you would me. Can't wait to meet one day soon I hope...

My kids look at me everytime I "forget" something...how I hate that look.

Rest easy tonite, Linda, it's all going to be all right and I will not quit praying for any of you!
