Help ! I keep channeling Rodney Dangerfield and I can't stop !

Friday, July 18, 2014

I have been watching a show on the Hallmark Channel called Ceder Cove not really my type of show I normally watch but somehow I am hooked ! As I am watching I realized that I don't know how to act mature ! like EVER !
Many people have told me I am the funniest person they know and I should be a professional comedian but I am on like 24/7 ! Behavior that would seem funny at 20 doesnt seem so funny now at my age ! lol.
I am even beginning to LOOK like Rodney ! I need some Respect PEOPLE !!!
I was married very young and was a VERY INNOCENT Girl who's parents were over protective and also very funny people themselves , Being funny was a talent and a strength in my family . I was then married for years to a very unfunny controlling guy who didnt really appreciate my humor ! I work also with young people and I am sorry to say I am tired of them , God bless their hearts , they are not to blame ! It has been said that comedians are people that need to work out a lot of issues ! I bet not even Rodney was Rodney all the time ! Its exhausting ! Anyways I am serious about reaching my goals and no I dont want to ever lose my FUNNY ! but I can not use it as a shield for my emotions or worries any more either !

I am seeing some resemblance here !

Also agree with Susan, that clowns are some of the most depressed people. Since you are into Bollywood stuff.... there is a very old movies, which stars a yesteryears all time favourite hero Raj Kapoor...the name of the movie is 'Mera Naam Joker' that is My Name is Joker.

Love Rodney! Clowns are sometimes the most depressed people. They spend their lives "on" to make others happy, yet no one sees the pain within.

I was surprised you were not a member of one of the SP Sarcasm or Humor teams LOL!

A little humor to get us through each day is a good thing, but like you said, sometimes it is good to not have to be "on" 24/7. You will find the right balance for you...have a great weekend!
