Need help from my spark friends....

.....in deciding which activity tracker to buy. I'm considering the spark tracker and the fit bit but not sure which one. Any suggestions?????

I love my pedometer but its just not cutting it anymore. I'm using it so much that I'm having to replace the battery too often ( the last one made it a week).

I am leaning towards the flex bracelet. I love that it comes in so many colors and tracks the same things as my pedometer. The ONE tracks stairs, not active minutes which I'm assuming is the same as the aerobic minutes tracked by my pedometer. I liked the zip but have ruled it out, it does not track active minutes or stairs.

My questions:

1) what type of battery does each take (the fit bit and the spark tracker)?

2) Is the sleep feature on the fit bit really something I need?

3) does it reliably and automatically sync to spark people?

4) can I wear it in the shower?

5) Is there a small piece ( like a chip) that can slip in and out of the bracelet that might
get lost?

I'd love to hear from users of each tracker, looking for pros and cons of each to help me decide. Thanks in advance for your help! :)

    Thank you for your input ladies. I am leaning towards the fit bit flex, seeing my numbers instantly is important to me. I'm still comparing but need to make a decision soon.

    I have the SparkTracker and I really like it. The lights give me a general idea of my steps but you do have to wait until you reach a computer for it to sync and to see the actual numbers. I can put it in discrete places and it is fairly accurate. I've changed the battery once and it was one of those flat circle ones - the 2nd battery came with it so I didn't pay attention to what kind. There is a SPAT team on Sparkpeople and you may want to check out the pros & cons there.
I tried a FitBit one for awhile and didn't care much for it. I liked what it did, the activity minutes and the stairs and it gave the number of steps on display, and the clock was nice. However, I did not like it's reading for calorie burn. It calculated for daily calorie burn with or without exercise, the BMR. I don't really need that info on my tracker. I want to know what I've burned above and beyond and the Spark tracker gives me that. And I never really cared for the sleep timer. I know when I'm not sleeping all that well.

    I have the fitbit flex. I love it. It clips onto my jeans and I go all day with it. When I am on the treadmill I wear loose fitting clothes so I clip it on to my underwear. It does not measure sleep and I don't take it in the shower. I have friends who have the flex but it does not give them instant readings, you have to check the computer. Personally, I like to check my progress all day long and I'm not always at a computer. The flex also comes in great colors. Mine is pink!! Good luck :) BTW, the one you wear on your wrist will not calculate if you are on a bike. You have to figure out how to attach it to your shoes.
