I've been doing a short cardio routine every other morning for two weeks - I never look forward to it, but I feel pleased with myself after I've done it!
This morning I realised that it was getting easier! lunges, high knee lifts, squats, bicycle crunches, even push-ups - and my 5 minutes now easily extends to almost 10 mins (9.7 mins this morning - I use my stopwatch!)
This realisation has been surprisingly motivating for me! I always cringe at those cardio words like 'shred' and 'boot camp' and 'burn'.
If anyone's interested in what has got me started, it is a routine that was on the guest blog a couple of weeks' back - and it's presented as being for older people (I'm coming up for 60). I know a lot of my Spark Friends are around the same age as me - so if anyone's reluctant to do a cardio routine and wants to check this out I'll put the link in below.
Who knows, you might even see me in a 'boot camp' later in the year!
