Wow, I have lost about 40 pounds and what difference I see in comparison pictures. I still have 80 to 85 pounds to go and I am using this for more motivation. This lets me know that I have come a long way and I can become healthy, lose the weight and achieve my goals.
Last night I did Vinyasa Flow Yoga, my absolute favorite. I have to some poses modified but as I continue it becomes easier and the poses are coming together so much more naturally now. And, I feel grounded and more fulfilled each day.
*Announcement* I am going to begin the “Couch to 5K” program today. After work I am going home, putting on my Nikes straight away and out the door. I was walking the 5k ( 3x around my block) sporadically but I let the “life” excuse interfere. TODAY I COMIT to this program.
I have been looking at races in my area and have read that the best way to motivate is to sign up for a race and start training for it. So that is exactly what I am going to do. I will research and pick one to do at least 8-12 weeks out. That should give me enough time to train. If I have to I will walk-Jog but I will do it!
Day 1 of Couch to 5K
Walked 2 miles in 40 minutes. I know I didn't jog but I am not ready for that yet.
Vinyasa Flow yoga for 30 minutes.
