Day 2 of my brother's vegan based regimen

Thursday, July 17, 2014

I feel like I have so much energy that I had to stop myself from exercising after running a mile in under 13 minutes, walking for another mile afterwards, jump roping for another 30 min, using a foam roller, stretching, then looking at the 35 lb kettle bell literally calling out to me to use it.

I did a set of 10 military presses, 2 sets of lat pull downs, 50 sit ups but the kettle bell kept calling out to me. I jump roped for another 5 minutes then forced myself to leave my home gym area.

For my own safety, I stopped, let's see how sore I feel tomorrow!

Post run, the only "food" that I've had today was a 150 cal Power Shake.

I know there are no shortcuts to losing weight because I've tried all the shortcuts & they work for a short amount of time before people myself included put the weight back on. This time around, I don't consider it a shortcut. I consider it a continuation with a slight modification to how I ate when I was traveling abroad. If it works, then it works & I'll continue to use it to reach my goal of weighing less than 11 stones.

The fact that I lost weight after being in Thailand for 2 months is the best case scenario because until my trip, NOBODY goes to Thailand and comes back leaner than they went, there's just way too many delicious things to eat there!!!

The other major difference between this time around & all the others is that I haven't mentioned anywhere in any post exactly what I'm using. If it works, maybe I'll mention it, if not, all anyone knows is that I tried a "regimen" recommended to me by my own brother.

It used to be in my profile but I think I took it down. I had a lap band at one point (although I was never morbidly obese, I worked at a hospital, had health insurance & was convinced that I needed the band), I tried the HCG diet (expensive, it works but doesn't teach you how to eat), I had a staple in my ear (acupuncture for weight loss, yeah, all I got was an infection), name the diet there's a good chance I tried it...that's all I feel that I need to say.
