I started this weight loss journey again the day my sister left to go back home to Michigan after a long stressful week visit. While she was here she was doing weight watchers because she said sparkpeople did not work for her which is fine although as I told her she had to really educate herself on everything that sparkpeople had to offer.
Now I look at it as more of keeping me motivated to lose weight and stay focused more. I am not sure if it is the competiveness or the fact that I want to prove to her that sparkpeople does work.
Regardless today is day 23 and I have lost 10 lbs. So yes sparkpeople does work when you educate yourself. Don't get me wrong my fitbit also keeps me motivated (one of the best investments I ever made)
The reason I say that I use sparkpeople and a motivational tool and educational tool is because I do not follow the diet. I am allergic to many things so it makes it difficult but I use the recipe section on a daily basis to find new recipes so I do not get bored, I measure everything and have changed many things in my diet to gluten free.
a fantasy would be to say I would love to lose a lb a day but that is not healthy. reality is I am losing weight above the norm but not too fast and that makes me happier than anything.
