I've been home from vacation for a week and I'm just beginning to get back into some sort of routine. For starters, the morning after we got home my laptop messed up after my virus protection ran an update. It was a few days before Jeremy (my son) got it fixed for me. (Thank goodness my child is an IT person.) Now I can try to catch up on some of my blogging!
After we got off the San Juan River, we stay a couple of days in Mexican Hat, Utah so the guys could see Monument Valley and some things in that area. Then we headed to Moab, Utah where we had rented a beautiful condo for eight nights. The views from our patio were amazing with the Moab Rim to the west and the La Sal Mountains to the east. It was a great place to spend the evenings after a day full of activity.
We also did a 10 mile paddle in our kayaks on the Colorado River from Moab. It wasn't nearly as exciting as the San Juan since the section is mostly flat water, but the scenery was beautiful and I actually enjoyed the easy paddle.
We visited Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Canyon Rims, visited some museums and did some back country hikes. On the way home, we drove through the Colorado Rockies and made a couple stops to walk around and take in the scenery there. Overall it was an amazing trip and we all had a great time. I'm adding some pics from the remainder of our vacation.
Mike and Cliff acting silly at Bluff Fort. They are best friends and Mike is like my adopted son. Love them both so much and they kept me laughing on the entire trip.

Cliff at one of three dinosaur museums we visited. He has loved dinosaurs since he was two years old and can't resist stopping anytime he sees anything related to them.

On the Colorado River just after we launched. My BIL took a picture of me taking a picture of him. LOL

Lots of fun and great memories. I'm so blessed to have these boys in my life who actually want mom along. We're all ready to get back out there as soon as possible.
Hope you are all having a great week!
