New Scale

Tuesday, July 15, 2014

Yesterday I received my EatSmart Precision GetFit Digital Body Fat Scale w/ 400 lb. Capacity & Auto Recognition Technology that I bought from Amazon.

It weighs you, measures body fat percentage, body water percentage, bone mass and muscle mass. What I learned last night was: I have a LOT of body fat, I was dehydrated after my run and my muscle mass was better than expected. The bone mass weight doesn't really mean anything - but I am going to figure out what it means with the magical thing I like to call "google" lol

I weighed in this morning and it said 215.8 which is up from the 213 I weighed on my old "rotary" scale on Friday. Since Friday is my official weigh in day, I am going to wait until then to record whatever it says. I could have gained from my binge on Saturday (and will lose some or all of it by Friday), or it could just be a more accurate reading than my old scale. Either way - whatever it says on Friday I will update my Spark ticker to reflect and go from there.

It's very sleek and pretty. I am not really sure if all the bells and whistles will be helpful or not. But I took my measurements last night and wrote down all the scale information - so I think I will record all of that monthly.

So we will see! I hope to gain muscle and lose fat (along with pounds) as I continue this journey!

Keep me updated on that scale! I've been looking at a couple different ones on Amazon that do all that crap, but they're expensive so I keep trying to forget about them. I really think they'd help though... I wanna know how much body fat I have! And I want to watch that number go down! Haha. Let me know how you like it after a couple weeks.

You definitely sound more upbeat in getting that scale, which sounds awesome. Keep us posted on how it works for you. Never trusted dial scales - always had to keep them calibrated and they're so touchy when weighing anything.

I could move that dial scale around the bathroom and get a different number each time. Plus you couldn't quite tell what the exact number was. So I figured this would make me LESS crazy?? haha! But I do really like being able to see the number with the 2/10 increments. As long as it keeps going down!! :)

When I weigh on a digital scale it's 10lbs more than when I weigh on a dial scale. Still don't know why such difference. Happy for you that you got a new scale!
