Yay- another weekend down. This summer is just cruising by, and we havent had a whole lot of warm weather to enjoy it. But to be fair, yesterday I had all day to do anything, but instead I did laundry and nothing else haha. It would have been a great day to float down the wolf river with some beers- it was WARM!
I had a friend visit from out of town (but he's friends with tons of people, so he was just floating around all weekend) and he wouldn't make any solid plans. It was just a dumb cluster all weekend and everyone was annoyed with it. Friday night we all actually got together for a dinner out at my new favorite mexican restaurant- Sangrias. They serve warm beans and salsa with chips. I didnt eat well Thursday- Satruday. I got a chipotle flavored burrito- and thankfully the portion sizes are NORMAL- like the burrito wasn't the size of my head, and the sides were 1/2 c each. I had 2 bud light limes and a little bit of my friend's deep fried ice cream. Then after we headed to the casino- I lost $40 and had a 16oz miller high life- NOT a light. Ew. I nursed it for an hour.
After that we went downtown- i decided no more beer- i need to really watch those carbs! So I got myself drunk on captain and cokes. Haha I really am not a hard liquer person- it's hard to know my limit with those! Plus they're expensive :P
OHH I DID NOT SMOKE! Big step- I was out with friends, fiance was not with after dinner, and there was 1 other smoker in the group. At one point I had one in my hand, but it 'broke" when i went to put it in my pocket. Im so happy with myself. So even though i gobbed down 1000calories of drunk Tbell, I didnt smoke. Baby steps lol. Plus Im confident those days of gettign drunk downtown are behind me. Friday night was like a once every other month kind of night. Cost me $100- UGH! I have a wedding to plan for mmkay, cant be drinking my wedding fund.
SO- although my nutrition wasn't good this weekend- I ran both Saturday AND Sunday! I am ahead of my goal of 10mi/per week- I ran 14 miles last week! Awesome! My runs weren't the best, but I need to keep running consistently to get that "mentality" back where I can zone out and let my body do the work. Right now it's not easy enough for me to get into the zone.
So I am 14/40 miles into my goal for August 9th. Woot! Maybe i could hit my (unspoken) goal of 50 miles by then! I just signed up for the Packers 5K- ive done it 3 times, and love it! This year is the 5th anniversary so we get medals- WOO! I actually am running with someone for the first time in my running career! My friend who is deathly afraid of not being able to finish a race is running with me. The crazy thing is that she runs 5ks every week at the gym- so i KNOW she can do it! lol. Im proud of her for giving this a shot! It's on July 26th, so I have 2 weeks to really try to get my pace up there. yesterday it was 37.5 minutes. BOOO! That's 4 minutes from my "good" pace when i was fit.
Oh well! I am feeling good- eating well on the weekdays and working out. Working out really keeps my mentality straight for eating right for the most part. This morning I was able to put on jeans that were really tight a couple of weeks ago. so that's a great NSV for me. Keep it coming Danielle!
Okay, I should probably do some work today. Man it was tough to get up today! Veg + Red pepper hummus and a sammich for lunch today! Im so hungry right now, just had a banana 20 mins ago. wtf!
