Leaving Korea Tomorrow

Monday, July 14, 2014

We leave Seoul tomorrow - we've had a great time, but it's time to move on and do something else.

And while we've been busy with laundry and packing and downsizing as usual, we fit in a palace visit, and found a great artist!

The pics were emoticon , like they always are. Kind of sad that the palace wasn't what you expected. It does seem as though it's kind of lonely or sad where it's at.

The palace is kinda sad in the middle of the city. Looks like it should be sitting in hilly green meadow. I guess everything gets engulphed in time by new generations moving in. We have this mansion in town owned by a famous politician from the 1800's that's a tourist trap. All the property around it was was sold to build houses in the 70's. When the area used to be his farm land. So strange how this amazing property is just tucked away in a neighborhood now.
