New Girl on the Job!

Monday, July 14, 2014

There are some jobs in this world that many people expect to find a man doing. Park Manager is one of those positions. What a joy to find an intelligent, energetic woman working as the new park manager of Monadnock State Park!

Elizabeth "Beth" Kintz started her position as Park Manager on May 30th. Originally from Rindge, she started working at Monadnock during the summer seasons of 2002 and 2003. She has also worked at Greenfield State Park, and for the Army Corps of Engineers at Edward McDowell Dam in Peterborough, NH. Ms Kintz has managed two parks in South Dakota: Lake Poinsett Recreation Center and Adams Homestead and Nature Preserve.
Beth's days often consist of 12-14 hours of managing the park, the store and being the base command for search and rescues on the mountain. She does whatever needs to be done, including cleaning the bathrooms at times.
Welcome to Monadock Beth! We are glad that you are here!

Pretty sunrise! Thanks for sharing. Wow, she sounds perfect for the job. Not afraid to do every aspect of the work that all have to share in to make it all work well for everyone. Cool

This generation amazes me in what they know and what they do! I guess we were always the "doers" and it is so nice to see this next generations being the "doers"! They know so much more than we ever learned. Certainly hope for the future!

Thanks for checking in on my blog. It's been a while since we exchanged comments. The mention of Monadock reminded me of the really positive vibes I got when I would read about your activities there. Thanks for helping me reconnect.
