To Lose or Not to Lose? That Is the Question.

What is the perfect weight? Well it's different for everyone, that I know.
I just made the decision to increase my goal weight loss from 14 pounds to 19.
Well yes, I'll still be at a BMI that's "overweight," but will be getting a bit closer to that elusive "healthy."
The point of this weight reduction decision (I had reached my first goal of a 14 pound loss) is to improve my labs for high total cholesterol and prediabetes blood sugar levels. I'm hoping this lowered weight, along with a healthy diet and regular walking and strength training, will bring those numbers down, as well as help lower my blood pressure. The combination of these issues started me down the slippery slope of early kidney disease, which I decided to STOP in its tracks.
