. I also found that by skipping late night TV and Internet and going to bed earlier, that I get a better nights sleep and wake up fresh.
If your trying to change the time you sleep, like going to sleep earlier so you can get your 8 hours of sleep and get up early enough to enjoy a fresh start in the morning, then I recommend you do it in small steps over a month or even two months. As world travelers know your body takes time to adjust to new sleep patterns. I just finished a program of getting to sleep 10 minutes earlier and getting up 10 minutes earlier where you take a week to adjust to each 10 minute change.
I use to sleep from 11 to 7, now I sleep from 10 to 6 and find the extra hour in the morning a good time to catch up on the news and plan my day. I like it so much that I plan to do another program to change my sleep time to from 9pm to 5am and .use the time to catchup on my computer while my wife sleeps.
Many people watch TV or use the computer just up to the time that they go to sleep. but researchers found that is not conductive to a good night of sleep. I can attest to the fact that I get a better sleep by cutting off the TV and computer at least an hour before I go to sleep.
