I went on vacation for a week to my cottage. I have always had such fond memories of growing up there and spending my summers. Playing in the lake, hanging with my cousin, fishing with my uncle.
We spent a week there and I was still true to myself. When I got there I set a goal to run to the end of the "main" road. I accomplished that goal. The scenery was beautiful and I hope one day to move up there permanently so I can always enjoy the scenery to run. I ran 3 days and the other days I took nice walks. After I would follow up with a dip in the lake to cool off. It was so refreshing.
I had so much time to think about things, where I am in life, my goals, my dreams. I even had a chance to remember my childhood and the dreams I had as a child. I always knew what I wanted and nothing would ever stop me but it seems life got in the way,
I know now these are my goals and dreams, a healthier lifestyle is priority and I will not let anything stand in my way, I felt so good in that bikini that I want to wear it more and shop for more next year. I also reorganized my dreams and I am now more focused than ever before.
Sometimes getting away, taking time to drift back to the days of your childhood can open up some wonderful doors and keep you more focused. I know it helped me.
