Flowers, rain, and sadness.

Saturday, July 12, 2014

It was very humid today, I was hoping to get to see that "Supermoon" tonight, but instead we're getting thunderstorms. Seems that happens everytime there's something exciting to see; aurora borealis, comet, etc, etc. Frustrating, but last night's moon was beautiful.

Stopped at a bar and of all people, saw someone who used to babysit for us...she has 3 grandchildren now, DANG! I couldn't believe it when she told us that, bout floored me! She's not that old, I'd say, well in her 40's MAYBE, but dang....

We've been waiting for some lattice work to come in to do the fence around the pool deck, but it's pushed back til next weekend now. Not to mention the place I bought the daisies, don't have any available, and they don't have the white dahilias with a "glitter center", and tI need them for the wedding flowers AHHHHH...luckily it's nearly a year away. *L* So not panicking.

It was sad to hear that Jean Segura's 9 month old son died after Friday's game, how horrible to find out. He'd been ill, but they'd expected him to recover and he found out after the game the he'd died. Gomez said he'd come out of the shower and saw Segura crying at his locker...what heartbreak. My prayers go out to Segura and his family, may his little boy rest in peace.

I hope you all remember to hug your loved ones and tell them you love them, because you never know. Have a wonderful weekend.

Here's our moon from last night, our electricity had gone off for some reason, for 4 hours, so I had plenty of time to take pictures.

Back of our house, I loved how the moon shined on it:

I love the candles all lighting up the living room, this doesn't quite show it, but it's so pretty:

I got to see the full moon. It is also referred to as the Buck moon and the Thunder moon. I really like Super the best. It was very beautiful. The last full moon came on a Friday 13th. It will not happen again until the year 2049. I doubt I will get to see that one but 97 happens for some. Have a great weekend. emoticon

Wow, that's a gorgeous pic of the moon. Really quite cloudy here, so couldn't see it.

So sad to hear of the loss of Segura's son. **SIGH**

Isn't it surprising how people's lives are different than you might expect! Man, I would NOT expect to have become a Grandma in my 40's, even my 50's! I am 60 now and heck . . . I think I'd still be an AUNT! LOL Nah, Grandma would be all right w/me.

Onward to Sunday.
