Doctors say the "cure" is a Scam

Saturday, July 12, 2014

So I emailed both my doctors whom I really respect. Both said empathically "NO". My autoimmune specialist said that these people are "stealing" people's money. My GI doctor said that the one doctor pushing this has no credentials only is a GP and only participated in one small study regarding diabetes. So these two doctors pushing "the cure" are taking advantage of sick people. My doctors told me to warn people. It's so sad that someone would do this. My defenses were up and I asked a ton of questions and really just got a run around. One of the questions I asked yesterday was "You say you take 5cc of my blood and mix it with a specific solution and then make the vaccine that I then give myself a shot everyday for a year. I am not going to give myself a shot of something unless I know what is in it...so what is in the shot". They gave me a run around and told me they couldn't tell me as it was "Pattened". I also asked if they could give me statistics of the research and success percentages. They didn't have any numbers.

So yes, the old "if it sounds to good to be true it probably is" rings true here. It was an interesting theory and I just saw on the news this morning about the trail where they thought they cured a child with HIV with injecting them with a vaccine. So I think someday they might be able to create something to rebuild your immune system. I know they discovered some new proteins that might be able to be targeted that are present in autoimmune.

I read a lot and try to say up with things. Since it's my body who is attacking itself I want to make sure I know all my options to control the Sjogrens.

Thanks to all of you who responded to my blog yesterday and for the advise. Everyone was like me and skeptical. I love you guys

Have a wonderful Saturday.
Sallie

It's really sad that "Doctors" would go around selling a dream to sick people just to line their pockets. Glad you contacted the ones you know and trust.

Listen to your doctors, they know what they are talking about. I know that if a "so called doctor" doesn't answer my questions and gives me the runaround, I drop him like a ton of bricks!!! Very smart going Sallie!!! God bless you and have a terrific Sunday!!!

The scary part is that so many just blindly believe the 'miracle cures' about cancer, lupus, diabetes and even obesity. Good for you for researching!

Well done super sleuth Sallie! Good for you
for asking the right questions. Boggles the mind
that so many of these quacks can get up there and
convince people to part with their money. I am so
glad you do a lot of research and check with your
doctors. You know your body better than anyone.
    Have a great Sunday. emoticon

You did a great job of looking into this option cautiously and not falling for a scam. I can imagine how vulnerable people who are desperate are. Unfortunately, there have always been people who take advantage of the vulnerable. Good going, Sallie.

Wonder how many people spent money for this cure all?

Glad to see you did your homework and wouldn't subject yourself to possibly a drug that you could make you worse!

    Have a good weekend!

It is sad that people take advantage of others hopes and fears. If they can't explain themselves then that's a definite warning flag right off the bat. You were smart about this and am glad you had doctors you respect and trust to advise you!

Not surprised but all things are worth checking out. One thing I will say, having been in the medical field for 24 years and have worked for both MD's and Naturopaths is that MD's will almost always scorn anything natural. However, this did have SCAM written all over it. I find that if something is scientifically sound they will be willing to tell you everything that is in the cure, not hedge around it and give you the runaround.

Good job Sallie being on top of your research and not falling for their tricks!

Great Job asking the questions You did, doing your homework and checking in with your Doctors and Medical Teams exposing the Two Doctors for what the are. Scam Artists. Stealing People's hard Earned Money, Taking Advantage of Them Being Sick and Giving Them False Hope ETC. I hope they are sued, lose everything they have and end up in prison for all the harm they are doing to People. Very Proud of You Salie. Good For You. God Blessings Always. Have a Fantastic Day with DH. Hugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Sorry about that : (
    Great job you investigated.

The most shameful example I saw of this kind of "cure" was an advertisement in the canteen of a cancer institute, saying their water has a decreased proton content and it helps cure cancer. Just like you said, no references, no numbers.... It was not cheap, well at least it was certainly not harmful.

So sorry this turned out to be a scam. It is so sad that there are people out there taking advantage of people who are looking for a "cure" and are willing to latch on to anything that gives them hope.
So glad you asked tough questions and did the research! It did sound too good to be true..

Kind of what I suspected. I think the path is a lot closer looking @ proteins. But long way off right now!

So glad you checked it out. I wouldn't have had to think twice if they wouldn't answer questions directly -- HUGS red warning flag.

HUGS and sorry it turned out to be a bust!

I keep forgetting to ask . . . did your FIL get his brace???
