Saw GP today, for 9:40 apt, he wasn't even finished his 9am patient till 10:45, so long day there. What's with these new medical people that are "hands off". Anyway, he will send me for neuro and bone density tests in about 3 months when I am healed from this. Apparently our health care does not routinely do bone density tests unless you are 65, but 2 breaks, family history of arthritis and diabetes were enough to get one.

Ankle is VERY sore and swollen today, don't know if it is related to no sleep last nite, but an early nite is in order tonite.

It's hard to rest it when you are so used to going and doing. I sure hope that it heals soon and you can get on with living.

Your ankle swelling ....if you are not sleeping, that probably means you have your foot/leg down more that it is up or level, plus walking around on it probably more than you should since you just got the cast put on. Quit walking around stores for a couple days .You are not giving any time or room for healing to begin. Try resting more, with it up on a chair or stool or just lay on your bed and read, give it a chance...
