Eating Too Little?

So, I consistently eat under my calorie range according to Spark People. Of course, I work out like a fiend and I wouldn't want to eat back ALL of the calories I've burned. But I'm regularly 500+ calories under and frequently get more than 1000 calories under the bottom of the range. But my weight is headed up right now and has been for quite some time. I thought it was just a crazy plateau at first, but when your weight is pretty consistently going up for a couple of years, I don't think it counts as a plateau anymore. So my question for you brave Sparksters is: Am I eating too little?

    Wow, that's a good question! I also consistently eat under my calorie allotment, and although I am still losing, the weight is coming off very slowly and I've even had a couple of weeks when I didn't lose at all.

    I've heard that alternating days with different calorie levels can keep your metabolism up. Or you may want to try what missusriverrat said and experiment with macronutrient ratios...maybe cutting down on carbs could help.

    Also, you may want to consider having a thyroid test if you haven't already.

    That would be my guess. Try adding a bit more and see where things go.

    You could try eating more for a while and see what happens ....or experiment with fat/carb/protein percentages.
