I vow to always tell myself the truth

Tuesday, July 08, 2014

I like to art journal ideas & things that inspire me. I heard this phrase the other day & found some elements to decorate it.

There are "stories" that I've told myself for a LONG time . . . I'm not athletic. I'm kind of a geek. I'm a chocoholic. I'm not a morning person. I don't like veggies . . . and on and on and on.

How about I tell myself the truth? I can exercise & there are some things I enjoy doing: walking, DVDs, riding the stationery bike. Even geeks can exercise . . .
I'm not REALLY a chocoholic. I do enjoy a good piece of chocolate once in awhile, but I'm also a person who can moderate my pleasures.
I may not naturally be a morning person but I can make exercise a priority -- regardless of what time I get up.
And when veggies are prepared well -- they are quite delicious. I can eat more fruit & veggies without any regret.

So, I'm going to try living with truth & not excuses.

p.s. to all of the Christians who may be reading this, Psalm 51:6 NIRV is a great verse to meditate on.
"I know that you want truth to be in my heart. You teach me wisdom deep down inside me."

I really enjoyed this blog! I'm so needing to hear your message in the areas of my life where I just kind of make excuses. Truth and wisdom are vital to living...both from GOD! Thanks.

emoticon I love that Scripture. It's not about truth just floating around us, but apparently something so deep in our heart that is entrenched. A lot of what I've been processing comes down to that one concept . . .TRUTH. I really love what you have to say here. Thank you so much for sharing from your heart.
