Most folks who know me in a business sense, think I am pretty subdued, and I often am. At my last job though, I was much more a troublemaker, co-conspirator and prankster. It's been a while since I exercised my muscle in this particular way, and it felt good to let a little loose yesterday.
It put me back in the mind frame of what other pranks and dares have I been subject to in the past. Most of them made me smile and have been pretty harmless in nature, with a lot of laughter generated for all parties - and frequently mostly from me. : )
Yesterday was a meet-up with both trainer and coach. I still have a couple of more weeks in the pipeline with my trainer before she heads off to a new job. I am going to miss her a lot, but it's been a great run, and I look forward to hearing about her next great success.
We were doing our customary walk around the parking lot area. It was wicked hot, and I was drinking a ton of water. We stopped in one area so I could drink and take a break, and my coach asked me if I was "napping" (side note: a frequent favorite topic of mine). I acted like I was going to throw the water in my bottle at him, but of course I wouldn't do that.
Well, not until he taunted me and said "I dare you." I'm guessing he never thought that I would do it. Well, he thought wrong. It was like those great moments on a sitcom where you see a girl throwing a drink in a guy's face, the water dripping all over. Sure, he tried to wipe his wet face and head on my shirt to dry off, and I took that opportunity to pour almost the rest of the bottle down his back. Good sport. He laughed it off.
At least that is what I keep telling myself as I brace for Weds ---- when the three of us meet again for a new challenge. HA!
I hope I can continue to say then what I am saying now: no remorse!
