Recovery In Progress

Sunday, July 06, 2014

I damaged both legs in an attempt at 30 inch box jump. It was a bad fail and cost five stitches and some nerve damage, but there out and I'm okay to get back into the box (slowly at first). It has kind o gotten me down a bit about my lack of fitness minutes, so I have been trying to do more movement at home in between times of propping my leg up. I'm hoping that I can get back into the swing of things soon. Some parts are still tender and so I'm careful. I've also had some other stress that I just haven't figured out how to deal with yet. I'm still eating healthy and aiming for my 5% goal.

I tried the big one, ouch

I still love crossfit

This is similar to the one I used

I am not even close to the 30 inch. I honestly have a fear of the damn box. I'm working up to them though! I'm sorry you got hurt!! Hopefully recovery will be speedy and you will be back in no time

HOLY MOLY lady! You are the bravest lady I know for even trying 30" box - seriously that's 1/2 of me - I'm only 61" tall. I am so glad to hear you are recovering ok! nerve damage and stitches are NOT fun!

Oh man, OUCH. Kudos for having the fitness to try it. I've seen it done before, but not sure I have the oomph to try it myself. Hope you get back to it soon!
