Lazy Saturday...

Today has been one incredibly lazy day. My belly has been kinda bleh because of TOM, so I've done a lot of relaxing... and not much else. Dh needed me to drive him to a store for an errand, which took all of maybe 10 minutes. Otherwise I've been inside taking it easy all day.

I'm happy to say I made it through last night without eating. Woo hoo! Just when I was laying down for bed, I had a slice of lowfat cheese on light whole wheat bread and a glass of milk. I think maybe that helped. And it was a LOT fewer calories than if I had woken up and eaten in the middle of the night. So maybe I need to make a habit of having a small snack just before bed. It's worth a try, anyway!

Food has been pretty good today. I grabbed a grilled chicken sandwich and small chili when we were out earlier. Then for lunch dh and I made fajita chicken pasta, with whole wheat pasta. I added some tomatoes and stir fry veggies to mine. It was REALLY good, the fajita seasoning in the pasta gave it lots of flavor for no calories. One of the better recipes we've tried recently. Then for dinner I had an Amy's frozen pizza and a salad with chicken in it. I'm trying to add a little extra protein here and there during TOM to help head off the fact I always feel extra hungry. It seems to be working fairly well. I've stayed on track for the last two days, and I can't even remember the last time I made it through 2 days of TOM without over eating. So woo hoo for that!

No exercise today, but I wasn't planning any. Today was a rest day. And rest I did. I managed to clean up here in the living room a little bit, and we cooked dinner. That's the only productive things I've done today. It's nice to have days like this sometimes, though. Especially when I get to spend them with dh. They're not so much fun when he's asleep or at work.

Tomorrow I'm going for a walk. I assume I will be walking with The Buddy, but I haven't heard from her yet, so I'm not sure. Even if we don't get to walk together, I'm still planning on taking a walk. I wanna start my week off with some exercise. Another day of being as lazy as I have been today is just too much laziness!

But, for now it's time to be lazy some more. More magazines to read. Hope everyone has had a fabulous Saturday and is enjoying their weekend!

    Love your pepper pics!! Yummy, hope mine in the garden get to look that good. Glad to hear you had a good day yesterday. A day of rest does a person good, Great job not eating during the night. That's a big deal! We got up early to go to the beach, but Bella is tired, so I guess we will go later. Hope you and your Buddy have a nice walk!

    Sounds like you are doing well despite TOM. It really does sound like that snack before bed did the trick!!! Adding a bit of protein seems to do the trick!! I hope you get to walk with your buddy today. The weather has been beautiful here after a nasty storm on Thursday evening. We were at Cosco when it hit and had just checked out when their lights went out. When we got home our lights were going off and on but we did not lose power for very long. A lot of people in my county did lose power for several days. Usually that included us but not this time. Poor Menlo the sheepdog managed to get himself into the fireplace trying to hide from the storm. That's a first!! He usually hides out in the bathroom. Poor baby!! Thunderstorms scare the bejeesies out of him. I usually tranquilize him to keep him from shaking to death but my son was home with him and could not find them. Not too much else going on. Just getting ourselves ready for my hubby's hip surgery later this month. I am glad he decided to get it done. He won't say but I can see he has been in more pain lately. Still have not gotten to the gym to join but soon. Have to really make the effort or I will be toast when I see my endocrine in September. Weight is NOT moving at all but I guess it is a positive that it is NOT moving up!!! emoticon

    Sounds like you had a great day! I think a small snack before bed is an excellent idea too. I bet it would help curb your appetite away from late night snacking later.

    Sounds like you have a good plan in place with a snack before going to bed. Seems like a very good idea! Hope you feel better tomorrow and you are able to walk with your buddy. Time goes by much faster when walking with someone else and talking! Have a great Saturday evening and an awesome Sunday! Keep up the great work! emoticon

    emoticon Hey thanks for being aware that my Pirates won today! It was a fun game! We had a sell out crowd. Many fans where from Philly, in fact to my right were Philly fans! They were fun, though their team lost they are baseball fans! We had almost the same seats my brother gave us for the game earlier this year. Both games the final score was 3 - 2 Pirates!

Hey cleaning and cooking can be considered exercise according to Sparks! Also clean up after meals can count too!!!

I was going to suggest about adding protein before heading off to bed, WOW you did that yourself! I wonder if you learned that from Sparks or your diabetes counselor.
