Getting Ready

*alarm is set for 5am
*bag is already in the car: towels and wash cloth, shorts and shirt, underwear, shoes, shampoo and conditioner
*laid out: running outfit, sports bra, Balega socks, Saucony running shoes, Garmin GPS watch, Road ID, sports glasses, Amphipod water bottle, Gu Chews, banana
*checked the weather (will be 75degrees and 93% humidity with 10% chance of rain)
*Weight Watcher weigh-in book packed
*car key in purse, set out to grab

I'm ready for our 75 minute run tomorrow starting at 6am. All 10 pace groups are going to run about 37.5 minutes, then turn around, and run back so we'll all be back about the same time to socialize. There are lots of new people, including my niece and my nephew, joining our group this year. It is just so great to see so many new running enthusiasts.

I'm interested in running the OUC Half Marathon in Orlando on December 6, 2014. So I'll be asking who wants to tackle that one. For one thing, it is a Saturday race and my daughter doesn't need me for child care on Saturdays. When I do a Sunday race it causes some inconvenience and expense. Another reason I'm interested is it is only an hour away from home, the entry fee is reasonable, it is the time of year likely to have good running weather, and it is not a hilly course. I'm thinking it might be conducive to a fairly fast time. I'd like to find out.

After the run and socializing tomorrow, I'll shower at the Y and then hit the 10am Weight Watcher meeting. Quite a few of us do the run and the meeting. Good combination.
