Four Things I Want to Give Up this Summer

1. Worrying about things that are not my responsibility, even when it involves my children. (only those without children will think this is possible! But maybe in time????)

2. Friends who think eating healty and working out are silly, compulsive and show-offishy. (I'm noticing how these folks are simply falling off my radar...and nothing terrible has happened yet!)

3. Double Scoops. (One is plenty, delicious and satisfying).

4. Thinking that needing the support of Spark makes me 'less than.' What a nutty idea, don't you think? Instead, I intend to continue to celebrate the fine people I have met here and continue to meet here. How good it is to know all of us belong here, in good times and bad.

    I can relate! That is a great list.

My children are adults and I still feel their pain and feel responsible for all of their challenges like they were still five years old!

    Great list....really can appreciate #1, having children myself. No way could I do this journey without the support of Spark; I am grateful for the support I get each and every day. Let's face it, those around us that are not a part of Spark, can become tired of being good listeners. We sparkies know what it takes to look away from a chocolate, or just get in an extra 5 fitness minutes.

    This sounds like a good list and I have issues with 3 of 4 of these. The double scoop is not an issue for me, but i could replace that with second helpings as one should be enough and if I get hungry later a small protein snack should do it.

    Good things to give up. Let me know how it works with #1!!! I have 3 grown children, 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren! I think I will try to do that! Boy will they be surprised! LOL emoticon
