My Top Two

Thursday, July 03, 2014

After writing my blog yesterday, I've been thinking a lot about how blessed I am and how much I have to be thankful for. So I decided to declare July my thankfulness month. My goal will be to blog daily about something I am thankful for. Yesterday, I wrote about being thankful for all of you. But I missed July 1st, so today I'm going to write about the top two things for which I am thankful.

First and foremost I am thankful for my relationship with Jesus Christ. I am thankful that He loves me no matter what and died for me so that I can spend eternity with Him. Can't get much better than that. No matter what I go through - good or bad - I know He is with me and will see me through.

In his rightful second place, I am thankful for my husband. We have been married for almost 15 years and in a way the time has flown by and in a way it seems like I've known him forever. He's my best friend and the love of my life! Don't get me wrong, we do get on each other's nerves at time, but it's wonderful knowing we are both in it for the long haul. And we wouldn't have it any other way.

On my way in to work today, I was flipping channels and stopped at a Top 20 station. They were playing "I Choose You" by Sara Bareilles. And that still sums how I feel. My sunshine (yes that's what I call him - don't judge me emoticon ) if you are reading this, know that today, just like the day we were married, I choose you!

If you haven't heard the song, you can find it on YouTube. I tried to add the link here but it didn't work.

OK, that's enough gushing for today....

Happy day before Independence Day everyone!
