Tomorrow's the BIG day!

Tomorrow I will walk my first "official" 5k. emoticon
I've been preparing for months. emoticon Working on our elliptical trainer emoticon from 20-90 minutes at a time. Walking emoticon with a friend when schedules and weather permit.
A couple of weeks ago life got really busy and I started slacking off on my training. I was planning to try for a really good time, maybe even best in my age group, but found out yesterday my SIL wants to walk with me. She has worse health / physical issues than I do so I expect I will be taking it easy so as not to leave her behind. It doesn't really matter anyway, there isn't any real prize emoticon for a better time other than bragging rights. Everyone gets a shirt no matter what time they complete it in.

I tried to get DH to walk with me (3 months ago I thought I had him talked into it), or run emoticon with DD, she intends to finish in about 20 minutes, but he thinks walking is boring, and he didn't do enough training to run it.

Weather emoticon should be quite comfortable tomorrow mid 70's for a high meaning mid 60's at race time. My kind of a day!

DH will be there to cheer emoticon us across the finish line. Then we will probably go to our favorite Amish store to stock up on some spices and flavorings that are getting low, and then to our favorite ice cream shop to celebrate. (It's a good thing it's 100 miles away!)
"I'll have a baby cone please." emoticon

Good luck to you with the 5K tomorrow that is great!

Just being in a 5K is good, regardless if you win or not!

Have a great time and let us know how it goes!
