I see a lot of sparkpeople are bringing up their thoughts about where the motivation to stick with it is coming from.... emoticon

Awesome blog! Great idea for nights when you cant catch a wink! :-)

My biggest motivation is that I look forward to living a healthier, more active, more enthusiastic and energetic life! I want to look better of course, I wanna fit smaller clothes, but mostly I wanna feel MY AGE, not DOUBLE of my age (as yet)..

Earlier on, for toooo manyyyy years, I was just tired all the time, there was no energy and hence no enthusiasm for anything. I was depressed or bordering on it... and life wasnt all that great. I didnt know it was because of my weight, but now I realise that exercising has changed sooo much more than I thought it would!

Good morning! My motivation is hope. Hopeful that one day I will be able to walk further than just inside my home. To rid myself of the rollator and wheelchair that I must use on outings, and to be independent again and the wife my husband deserves. Have a wonderful day and Happy 4th! emoticon emoticon

I look forward to my workout. I didn't used to, but I guess it is just part of my day now. I usually just walk the neighborhood or use an SP video.

Hope you had a good day. Get some sleep tonight! emoticon

So true . . . if we dread doing something, there's not much motivation to do it again.

That's one of the prime reasons I do not have a gym membership. To me, it's a sweatshop, and it drove me nuts and I just quit going. These days, my 'gym' consists of my house (indoors) and my yard (1 acre fenced forest/garden/lawn/pond) - plenty of work-out opportunities!

Hope you have a great day/weekend!!!

Thanks for taking the time to make another really great blog. You are right about doing things you enjoy, like walking to help motivate you in your lifestyle change.
For me, SparkPeople is really helping. It's so good to know there are other people a lot like me trying to get healthy through exercise and tracking calories. Spark is a place where you don't feel alone.
I'm eating whole grains too. Switched out the plain white bread for oatmeal bread and multi grain pasta instead of plain pasta. Brown rice instead of white.
Maybe some day I will feel confident enough to blog, for the time being, I really enjoy watching and reading yours and other Spark friends blogs.

Have a wonderful day. emoticon emoticon

I'm getting my hair cut today.
