Wow, it's been quite awhile since I've been on Spark and it's been almost two years since my last blog post. So much to fill you in on..
First off, I deleted practically everything on my page. My old blog posts, most of my old photos, my old bio information... I feel like so much of it just wasn't relevant to me anymore and where I'm currently at in my life. It's a great reminder but I'm trying to move forward and not dwell on challenges in the past. So i'm starting fresh!
Justin and I have been married for 2 years and 9 months and it's been awesome! I am just so happy to be married to him and spend time with my best friend. We have a large 2 bedroom/2 bathroom apartment that we've been living in for 9 months now and we love it. This is our first official place together with no parents, no roommates and it's so nice. It's not too far from our families either so that makes it even better. Harlee absolutely loves her apartment. We lived with my in-laws for awhile after getting married and they have a dog that was the same age as Harlee which was good when she wanted to play but Harlee definitely likes being the only dog and having her own space. Our second bedroom is my office and we call it Harlee's room because she loves being in there. We'll come home and open the front door and she'll stick her little head out into the hallway from that room and it's the cutest thing, hahaha.
Photography has been going amazingly well. If you would have told me 5 years ago that I would be a wedding photographer, I probably would have laughed in your face. It's so surreal to wake up everyday knowing that I get to do what I love. Being self employed and owning your own small business definitely has it's ups and downs but it's worth it. It makes me so happy and I love the couples I get to photograph and their love stories I get to tell. This summer is full of weddings and I'm already booking weddings for 2015! I'm expecting next year to be even busier than this year. Thank the Lord!
Now that we have a steady living situation and are pretty set in our careers, the next step is adding a baby to the family! We've been talking about it for the past year and Justin is totally ready. If it was up to him, I'd already be pregnant. I want a baby and I know that we're ready for one as a couple but personally I keep having doubts because my body is nowhere near ready. Ideally, I'd love to lose about 30lbs before getting pregnant. Which is totally do-able, especially since we won't start trying until around November so that gives me 4 months to get in shape and get my body baby ready!
I really have missed Spark, my Spark friends and the accountability of the community as well as blogging. I'm hoping to stay active on here as much as I can because I know it's only going to help me in my journey. =)
And of course it wouldn't be a proper blog post without some recent pictures!
